Advance Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)
The Advance Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) provide support, information, guidance, and sometimes even intervene in order to help the driver drive more efficiently and safely. They include parking sensors, rear view cameras, out of lane warnings, and engine monitors. They also include dials, sensors, displays, and other means of relaying that information back to the driver.

 | Small low voltage DC motors are used to control dials and wipers. |  | DAC DACs are to allow the MCU to accurately drive analogue outputs more precisely e.g. Speakers or buzzers. |
 | Stepper motors are used for more controlled but slower indicator dials. |  | LED Drivers LED drivers allow the MCU to control high power LEDs such as Headlamps or super bright LEDs. |
 | optical position sensors are needed to allow tracking of any DC motor's position/speed. |  | Displays Displays act as the main way of giving information to the driver, there is often more than one display in modern cars. |
 | cameras allow for reversing cameras or side view cameras. They are also used for out of lane warning sensors in the more advanced cars. |  | Speakers are used to give an audible sense of distance from the range finders, or for the infotainment system at other times. |
 | range sensors are used in most modern vehicles and aid the driver when parking in a confined space. |  | LEDs LEDS act as both indicators and as lights depending on their power. |
 | ADC ADCs are used to allow the MCU to read any analogue inputs such as the optical sensors. |  | MCU THE MCU is central control chip for the entire system. This is what does all the processing and controlling. |
 | Motor Drivers motor drivers are used to give precise control of motors running off of a higher voltage/current than the MCU can safely provide. |  | RTC the RTC keeps accurate timings to allow the entire car system to run in sync. |
 | Power Amplifiers are used to increase the voltage or current from the MCU to drive high power output devices. |  | Flash FLASH is used to store any permanent data, from the programming code to the settings to and user preferences. |
 | MOSFETS MOSFETs are used to drive higher power outputs but with less control than power Amplifier. |  | RAM RAM is volatile memory used to temporarily store data whilst the MCU is powered. |
 | Display Drivers Display drivers are needed to allow the MCU to use a display screen, they act as a decoding and encoding device between the MCU and the display. |
