Product Overview
NCP81292 is a 50A, electronically re-settable, in-line fuses for use in 12V, high current applications such as servers, storage and base stations. The NCP81292 offers a very low 0.65mohm integrated MOSFET to reduce solution size and minimize power loss. It also integrates a highly accurate current sensor for monitoring and overload protection. It has auto retry mode for protection features such as current-limit after delay, fast short circuit protection, ovetemperature shutdown and excessive soft−start duration. It protects backplane or bus from collapsing, reduce power losses, allows easy measure of current into an ADC, ensures current are close to each other during soft start when paralleled and allows for optimum thermal dissipation. Applications include servers, storage, base band unit and 12V backplanes.
