The RX-1M1009FE is a 100GΩ 500mW through-hole mounting Hermetically Sealed Resistor is designed for use in electrometer circuits where a high order of performance is required and it has 1% tolerance. The ultra high resistance resistor achieves a high degree of accuracy and stability and operates at this high performance level for an extended period of time. This glass encapsulated resistor especially this of higher resistance value, require extraordinary cleanliness. This resistor should be handled by the terminals, unless gloves are worn. Fingerprints on the surface of the resistor will attract contaminants and moisture, which will cause a parallel resistance path, reducing the resistance value of the device. If cleaning should become necessary, use isopropyl alcohol and lightly wipe dry with lint free tissues such as Kimwipes.
