Product Overview
MIC5504-3.3YM5-TR is an advanced general-purpose LDO ideal for powering general-purpose portable devices. This LDO includes an auto-discharge feature on the output that is activated when the enable pin is low. The MIC5504 has an internal pull-down resistor on the enable pin that disables the output when the enable pin is left floating. This is ideal for applications where the control signal is floating during processor boot-up. It is ideal for battery-powered applications, the MIC5504 offers 2% initial accuracy, low dropout voltage (160mV at 300mA), and low ground current (typically 38µA). It can also be put into a zero-off-mode current state, drawing virtually no current when disabled. Applications include smartphones, DSC, GPS, PMP, and PDAs, medical devices, portable electronics, 5V systems.
- Input voltage range from 2.5V to 5.5V, stable with 1µF ceramic output capacitors
- Thermal-shutdown and current-limit protection, auto-discharge and internal EN pull-down
- Output voltage accuracy is 2% max at (VIN = VEN = VOUT + 1V; CIN = COUT = 1µF; IOUT = 100µA)
- Line regulation is 0.02%/V typical at (VIN = VOUT +1V to 5.5V; IOUT = 100µA)
- Dropout voltage is 80mV typical at (IOUT = 150mA, TJ = +25°C), 3.3V output voltage
- Ground pin current is 38µA typical at (IOUT = 0mA, VIN = VEN = VOUT + 1V; CIN = COUT = 1µF)
- Ripple rejection ratio is 60dB typical at (f = 1KHz; COUT = 1µF, TJ = +25°C)
- Output voltage noise is 175µVRMS typical at (COUT = 1µF, 10 Hz to 100KHz)
- Ground pin current in shutdown is 1µA max at (VEN = 0V, TJ = +25°C)
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to +125°C, 5-lead SOT-23 package
