Product Overview
MIC5235-5.0YM5-TR is a 150mA highly accurate, low dropout regulator with high input voltage and ultra-low ground current. This combination of high voltage and low ground current makes the device ideal for USB and portable electronics applications, using 1-cell, 2-cell, or 3-cell Li-Ion battery inputs. As a µCap LDO design, the MIC5235 is stable with either a ceramic or tantalum output capacitor. It only requires a 2.2μF capacitor for stability. Features of the MIC5235 include enabling input, thermal shutdown, current limit, reverse battery protection, and reverse leakage protection. Applications include USB power supply, cellular phones, keep-alive supply in notebook and portable computers, logic supply for high-voltage batteries, automotive electronics, and battery-powered systems.
- Wide input voltage range from 2.3V to 24V, thermal shutdown and current limit protection
- Zero shutdown current, reverse battery protection, reverse leakage protection
- µCap: stable with ceramic or tantalum capacitors, 5V output voltage
- Output voltage accuracy is 1% maximum at (TA = +25°C with VIN = VOUT + 1V; IOUT = 100μA)
- Load regulation is 0.25% typical at (load = 100μA to 150mA)
- CRC calculation unit, 96bit unique ID, backup operating voltage is 1.8V typical
- Ground current is 0.35mA at (IOUT = 50mA, TA = +25°C)
- Ground current in shutdown is 0.1µA typical at ( VEN ≤ 0.6V; VIN = 24V, TJ = +25°C)
- Short-circuit current is 350µA typical at (VOUT = 0V, TJ = +25°C)
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to +125°C, 5-lead SOT-23 package
