Product Information
Product Overview
The MAX708EPA+ is a low cost microprocessor (µP) supervisory circuit in 8 pin DIP package. This supervisory circuit reduces the complexity and number of components required to monitor power supply and battery functions in µP systems. It significantly improves system reliability and accuracy compared to separate ICs or discrete components. It perform following functions such as reset output during power-up, power-down and brownout conditions, an independent watchdog output that goes low if the watchdog input has not been toggled within 1.6seconds, 1.25V threshold detector for power fail warning or low battery detection or to monitor a power supply other than +5V and an active-low manual-reset input. The MAX708 is used in computers, controllers, intelligent instruments and critical µP power monitoring applications.
- Supply voltage range from 1.2V to 5.5V
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C
- Supervisory function integration significantly improves system reliability and reduces board space
- Reset valid to VCC = 1V
- Reset pulse width of 200ms and reset threshold voltage of 4.4V
- Debounced TTL/CMOS compatible manual reset input
- Active-high reset output
- Supply current is 50μA
