Product Overview
The MAX4708ESE+ is a fault protected, single 8 to 1 multiplexer in 16 pin NSOIC package. It operates with dual supplies of ±4.5V to ±20V or a single supply of +9V to +36V. This device does not have clamp diodes to the supply rails on the switch outputs. The multiplexer features fault-protected inputs, rail to rail signal handling capability. It offers ±40V overvoltage protection with supplies off and ±36V protection with supplies on and feature on-resistance is 400 ohm max and matched between channels to 15ohm max. All digital inputs have TTL logic thresholds ensuring both TTL and CMOS logic compatibility when using a single +12V supply or dual ±15V supplies. Typical applications include data acquisition systems, signal routing, redundancy/backup systems, ATE systems and hot swap.
