MAX34561T+

The MAX34561T+ is a 12V/5V hot plug switch in 24 pin TQFN package. This dual, self contained hot plug switch is intended to be used on 12V and 5V power rails to limit through current and to control power-up output voltage ramp. The device contains two onboard N channel power MOSFETs (68Mohm and 43Mohm) that are actively closed loop controlled to ensure that an adjustable current limit is not exceeded. The maximum allowable current through device is adjusted by external resistors connected between LOAD and ILIM pins. The output voltages are unconditionally clamped to keep input overvoltage stresses from harming load. It contains an onboard temperature sensor with hysteresis. If operating conditions cause device to exceed an internal thermal limit then device either unconditionally shuts down and latches off awaiting POR or waits until device has cooled by hysteresis amount and then restarts. It is used in RAID/hard drives, servers/routers PCI/PCI Express, InfiniBand & base stations.
