Product Overview
The 5.0SMDJ33A from Littelfuse is a 5000W, unidirectional, 5.0SMDJ series transient voltage suppression diode. It is constructed with glass passivated chip junction. It features excellent clamping capability, fast response time and low incremental surge resistance. The 5.0SMDJ series is designed specifically to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient voltage events.
- Reverse standoff voltage VR is 33V
- Breakdown voltage VBR is 36.7V minimum and 40.6V maximum at 1mA
- Maximum reverse leakage is 5µA
- Maximum clamping voltage VC is 53.3V
- Maximum peak pulse current is 93.9A
- Steady state power dissipation on infinite heat sink at TL=75°C is 6.5W
- Peak forward surge current IFSM is 300A
- Operating temperature range from -65°C to +150°C, IEC-61000-4-2 ESD 30KV(air), 30KV (contact)
- ESD protection of data lines with IEC 61000-4-2 and EFT protection with IEC 61000-4-4 standard
