Product Overview
The MAX180BCQH+D is an 8-channel, 12bit data acquisition system (DAS) in 44 pin PLCC package. It combines 8 channel input multiplexer, high bandwidth track and hold (T/H), low drift zener reference and flexible microprocessor (µP) interface with high conversion speed and low power consumption. The MAX180 can be configured by µP for unipolar (0V to +5V) or bipolar (-2.5V to +2.5V) conversions and single ended or differential inputs. The devices samples and digitizes at 100KHz throughout rate and has fast 8bit or 16bit µP interface. The multiplexer output of MAX180 is fed directly into the analogue to digital converter (ADC) input. The systems allows user to choose between an internal or an external reference. The internal reference value and offset can be adjusted allowing the overall system gain and offset errors to be nulled. The MAX180 is used in automated test equipment (ATE), digital signal processing (DSP) and high speed servo loops.
