TR Fastenings Brass Inserts for Plastics
TR Fastenings offers a wide range of brass Inserts for plastics, in which there are variants for post-mould as well as pre-mould installation. Variants are available for use in thermoplastic material as well as thermo-set materials.
- Heat-Sert is designed specifically for notch-sensitive plastics
- Expansion-Serts offer simple press-in installation
- Flow-Sert is a blind insert for installation during the moulding process
Product Description
The Heat-Sert has been designed for post-mould installation into notch-sensitive thermoplastics using heat. It features rounded knurls to alleviate stress in the mating boss. Other advantages include a symmetrical design for automated installation and high pull-out and torque resistance.
The Expansion-Sert is a press-in insert, designed for post-mould installation into thermosets. It features a simple, press-in installation and provides self-locking action on the mating screw. Expansion-Serts also have good pull-out and torque resistance.
The Flow-Sert is a blind insert, designed to be installed during the moulding process and preventing plastic ingress during moulding. It features very high pull-out and torque resistance.
Heat-Serts
Designed for post-mould installation into notch-sensitive thermoplastics using heat. The round knurls alleviate stress in the mating boss. High pull-out and torque resistance.
Flow-Serts
Blind inserts, designed to be installed during the moulding process. Very high pull-out and torque resistance.
Expansion-Serts
Press-in inserts designed for post-mould installation into thermosets. The knurl pattern makes this ideal for hard thermosets. Simple press-in installation.
