Product Description
zSFP+ interconnect comes to market as one of the fastest single-channel I/O connectors transferring data at 28 Gbps with a possible expansion to 40 Gbps. Designed with simple upgrading in mind the zSFP+ is backward compatible with both SFP/SFP+ products allowing parts to be hot-swappable with existing SFP+. Alternatively, the zSFP+ connector can be designed in for 10-16 Gbps data rates allowing for longer term upgradeability, cost savings and remove the need for full system redesigns to cope with necessary upgrades.
Ideal for telecommunications, data center, and medical networking applications as well as test & measurement equipment the zSFP+ interconnect is compliant with SFF-8402 and has been adopted for Fibre Channel 32G (28.05 Gbps line rate). Using single high cages (1xN) for design flexibility while accommodating belly-to- belly applications for increased density and PCB space savings (1x1, 1x2, 1x4 or 1x6 port configurations also available), with coupled, narrow-edged, blanked- and formed-contact beam geometry and insert molding for superior signal integrity, mechanical and electrical performance.
