Product Description
Combining the most powerful MCU from the STM32 product series with DSP signal handling functionality and a Floating Point Unit has allowed ST to create the world’s highest performance MCUs. The low-power, low cost and ease of use of an industry standard MCU with DSP signal handling makes the STM32 F4 ideal for a wide variety of applications including:
- Motor Control
- Power Management
- Embedded Audio
- Industrial Automation
The addition of a Floating Point Unit means this already powerful MCU is able to boast even more processing power, better code efficiency and superior support for meta-language development tools. Bringing this amazing processing power with the STM32 F4’s 7-layer 32-bit multi-AHB bus matrix allows for the interconnection of all masters and slaves for ultra fast data transfer guaranteeing smooth and efficient operation. Using ST’s ART Flash accelerator the STM32 F4 provides best flash performance of any Cortex-M product.
However, the true power of the STM32 F4 comes from its ease of use and integration. With 1 MB Flash and 192 KB SRAM for the handling of advanced software stacks and user information, 4KB back-up SRAM the STM32 F4 does not need to resort to any external memory. While 512 Bytes of One Time Programmable for the storage of critical user data.
All backed by ST’s huge ecosystem of support tools and documentation to get you to market as fast as possible with the best possible product.
