PicoSecond Pulse Labs (now part of Tektronix)

PicoSecond Pulse Labs – now owned by the highly regarded oscilloscope maker Tektronix – make equipment that is ideal for the measurement and generation of high-speed signals.

PicoSecond sold approximately $3.7m worth of products worldwide in 2013 and it is expected that these highly regarded products will make significantly greater sales under Tektronix’ ownership.

Farnell is pleased to be the first high service distributor to stock these new products in the UK.

The range includes:

• Amplifiers and Drivers for best time domain response with 12.5 Gb/s lithium niobate driver amplifier and a series of broadband linear amplifiers with bandwidths up to 45 GHz
• Bi-directional Baluns for taking differential measurements
• DC blocks used for isolating DC voltages while allowing data signals to pass through unaffected
• Bias tees used as an active device like an amplifier, laser diode, photodiode, or optical modulator with a bias current or bias voltage while allowing high speed, ultra-broadband signals to pass through with minimum signal degradation
• Power Dividers that are resistive tees with excellent performance and frequency response from DC to as high as 50GHz
• Pick-Off Tees to produce a small replica of a signal at a pick-off port, at ratios of 10, 14, or 20 dB down from the input signal level.
