The NXP LPC800 series, featuring the ultra-efficient 30 MHz ARM Cortex-M0+ core, offers a range of low-power, space-efficient, low-pin-count options for basic microcontroller applications.
LPC800 series MCUs utilise a range of versatile timing, connectivity and analogue peripherals to handle a wide range of applications that prioritise low pin count, small footprint or stringent low-power requirements.
Uniquely for a low-end device range, all LPC800 series MCUs include a switch matrix and patent-pending SCTimer/PWM, giving embedded developers unprecedented design flexibility.
Eight-bit microcontrollers have excelled at simple tasks over the past few decades, providing reliable, deterministic performance at low cost. NXP LPC800 microcontrollers have been designed from the ground up to revolutionise these tasks so that they offer true 8-bit simplicity combined with 32-bit real-time performance and unprecedented design flexibility.
All the on-chip serial peripherals have been designed with only the most essential functions, making them more responsive and efficient. At the same time ‘game changing’ peripherals such as the flexible switch matrix, deliver numerous performance and scalability benefits.
LPC800 series MCUs are ideal for sensor gateways; communications interfaces for wireless protocols such as NFC, BTLE, Zigbee or WiFi; human machine interface (HMI) tasks such as touch, gesture, swipe; battery-powered devices; space-constrained designs; simple protocol bridging and 8/16-bit replacements.
The LPC812-LPCXpresso board with NXP's LPC812 Cortex-M0+ microcontroller is designed to make it as easy as possible to get started with your project. Combined with the full-featured, easy-to-use Eclipse-based LPCXpresso IDE, the entire product design cycle for the LPC800 is supported. The order code for this board is OM13053.
Configurable control subsystem
Up to four 32-bit counter/timers or up to eight 16-bit counter/timers or combinations of 16-bit and 32-bit timers.
Digital peripherals
High-speed GPIO interface with up to 76 General-Purpose I/O (GPIO) pins with configurable pull-up/pull-down resistors, open-drain mode, input inverter, and programmable digital glitch filter.
Memory features
Up to 256 kB on-chip flash programming memory with 256 Byte page write and erase, up to 36 kB SRAM and 4 kB EEPROM.
