Product Description
As Near Field Communication (NFC) becomes ever more widely implemented in access, industrial and consumer applications, NXP’s CLRC663 Contactless Reader Board is an essential device.
The CLRC663 is part of NXP’s new generation of high-performance proximity contactless reader ICs and is easy to integrate due to the CLEV663B development board and supporting reader library.
It provides the features needed in those NFC applications, such as high RF output power (reading distance), low power card detection (battery saving) and interaction with NFC-enabled smartphones.
High integration and a small housing make the CLRC663 ideal for small form-factor reader terminals, and a wide variety of contactless personal and infrastructure devices.
Key applications
Payment and loyalty schemes in POS terminals; Physical access control readers; PC peripherals for logical access or internet banking; Terminals for public transportation; Passport readers and eID readers; Gaming and entertainment readers.
Key benefits
Strongest high output power proximity RF front-end IC in smallest footprint; Ensures maximum operating stability and reading distance; Supports all relevant contactless protocols; Compatibility with all established NXP smart card ICs, smart tags, and label technology; Suitable for Long APDU handling, prepared for future eID standards.
Certification
Fully ISO/IEC 14443 A & B, ISO/IEC 15693 and FeliCa compliant; ISO/NFC 18092 NFC-IP1 Peer-to-Peer support (Initiator Mode).
