METZ CONNECT offers a range of circular Ethernet M12 connectors that have been specially designed for secure data transmission in industrial environments.

Product Description
They are available as two-pair twisted-pair connectors M12 with D-coding and four-pair twisted-pair connectors M12 with X-coding.
The four-pole Ethernet M12 plugs and jacks with D-Coding supports 100 MBit/s. For higher data transmission rates up to 10 Gigabit/s, METZ CONNECT offers eight-pole Ethernet M12 plugs and Jacks with X-Coding.
In addition to their high mechanical and electrical resistance, these rugged Ethernet M12 plugs and jacks are resistant against dirt and humidity once they are plugged in, as they fully meet IP67 standards to ensure safe contacts and trouble-free data transmission.
With a range of fully shielded solutions and IP67 protection in mated form, end users can choose individual product components for specific requirements up to a complete network solution, from PCB/device level all the way back to the control cabinet.

PCB Jacks
Top entry D-Code and X-Code options for front wall or back wall mounting. Side entry D-Code and X-Code solutions suitable for panel thicknesses 0.9mm – 5.0mm. They can be supplied as complete assemblies or as unassembled kits.
Device level Connectors
The field installable X-Coded plugs and jacks feature an ergonomic and robust zinc die-cast housing and METZ’s proven IDC technology for quick, easy installation. Field jacks are available with an additional flange to enable mounting on to panels and bulkheads. Cat 6a transmission characteristics – up to 10 Gbit/second according to IEEE 802.3an. Suitable for Power over Ethernet (PoE, PoE plus, and UPoE).
M12 Cable assemblies
2 x twisted pair cables; D-Code, Cat 5e. according to IEC 61076-2-101 Profinet (WS-GE-BL-OR) wiring;
4 x twisted pair cables. X-Code, Cat 6a, according to IEC61076-2-109; PUR jacket – Green. Available in standard lengths 1m, 2m, 5m and 10m. Overmoulded connector options: M12-M12, M12-RJ45, M12 – Free line end;
Feed-Through Adapters/ Couplers
Connect between and an IP67 industrial environment to an IP20 electrical cabinet or control unit environment with the METZ CONNECT M12 – RJ45 Coupler. Robust, Zinc die-cast housing, fully shielded. 10Gbit/s data transmission according to Cat 6a. 180° and 90° variants.
