Product Description

KEMET is introducing a new range of supercapacitors from NEC/Tokin.
A supercapacitor combines the characteristics of general capacitors and batteries, making them particularly useful as a secondary battery, such as power back-up in DC circuits and as a back-up device for the power shut-down of microcomputers and RAM.

The new NEC/Tokin range includes components from the FC, FG, FR, FS, ST and FY series for various solutions.
Key characteristics of the range include ‘near infinite’ infinite charge/discharge cycles, with very little deterioration of capacitance or cycle life, combined with the ability to charge and discharge within seconds, and an open failure mode to prevent short circuits.

Energy storage

Combine the characteristics of general capacitors and batteries.

Rapid charging

Can be charged and discharged within seconds, with hardly any deterioration of capacitance or cycle life.
