Product Description
Impregnated paper is the ideal dielectric material for operating as part of an EMI capacitor in an environment where ionisation (corona discharge) is likely to take place. It contains no cavities, being completely filled with epoxy, and thus becomes much more resistant to ionization than alternative materials such as polypropylene or polyester.
Impregnated paper capacitors also have greater self-healing properties than ones made from alternative materials, with a much lower content of conductive-free carbon.
The multi-layered dielectric in the P295 and P278 series, consisting of impregnated paper, ensures excellent stability and outstanding reliability properties, especially in applications having continuous operation.
These capacitors also meet the most stringent IEC humidity class of 56 days.
