It provides HDMI designers with an easy and fast way to reach full compliancy with the stringent HDMI 2.0 CTS on a wide temperature range. The HDMI2C1-14HD features active pull-ups on all DDC (Display Data Channel) lines to maintain Ultra-HD signal integrity and minimise dependence on HDMI cable quality. It can save 80% of the PCB space occupied by discrete protection components and can accelerate time to market for fast-moving consumer products such as Ultra-HD set-top boxes, Blu-ray players, laptops and PC graphic cards. It complies with HDMI version 2.0 from -40 to 85 °C, IEC 61000-4-2 level 4 and JESD22-A114D level 2. Features include support for direct connection to low-voltage HDMI ASIC and/or CEC driver (down to 1.8 V); TMDS high bandwidth ESD protection; DDC (I2C) link protection, bi-directional signal conditioning circuit and dynamic pull-up; CEC bus protection, bi-directional level-shifter, backdrive protection, and independent structure from main power supply; HEAC link protection and line matching; HPD pull down and signal conditioning; short-circuit protection on 5 V output and over-temperature protection.
