The new NXP Kinetis KL27/17 platform with USB connection is ideal for evaluating designs that are based on the low-power Cortex-M0 + processor and require a USB interface.

Product Description
It features Flex IO, ROM Bootloader and low power crystal-less USB functionality, along with an energy-efficient 48MHz ARM Cortex-M0+ core, multiple low power modes and autonomous low-power peripherals including USB ‘Keep Alive’ Mode to make this ideal for low power or battery-operated applications.
The platform’s tool support includes free Kinetis Design Studio IDE, Software Development Kit and Processor Expert. The main silicon is available in an ultra-small 36XFBGA (3.5x3.5x0.5mm) package as well.
Also included are NXP accelerometers and other sensors, an expansion IO form factor that accepts peripherals designed for Arduino–compatible hardware, a reset button and flexible power supply options.
Flex I/O module
Emulates UART, I2C, SPI, I2S and PWM waveform generation, reducing peripheral count. IIC supports 1Mbit/s data rate.
Crystal-less USB operation
Reduced BOM cost and PCB space from 48MHz oscillator for crystal-less USB operation with integrated USB voltage regulator, and high accuracy voltage reference for ADC, DAC, ACMP and external sensors.
Energy efficiency
The ARM Cortex-M0+ core delivers up to eight times more CoreMark/mA compared to legacy 8- and 16-bit architectures.
