Product Description
Ergo-tek cutters and pliers winners of the Red Dot Design Award 2014 are designed for precision tasks in the electronics industry.
All models have an ergonomic two-component handle which protects the worker from electrostatic charges and fits perfectly into the palm of the hand.
The anti-slip rubber surface ensures a better grip and a more pleasant feel. A rounded handle surface and a perfect thumb shape provide maximum operator comfort.
The Red Dot award jury stated: "Ergo-tek has excellent tactile qualities as a result of its high ergonomics and carefully thought-out material textures."
Ergo-tek products were designed at the University of Milan with a user-centred approach to gain a full understanding of the needs wants and frustrations of end users.
The synergy of Swiss precision and Italian design ensured painstaking attention to detail at every stage of the design process and resulted in the creation of the ideal handles.
Metal quality
High quality ball bearing steel: 45 Rockwell Hardness (HRC) for pliers; 63 Rockwell Hardness (HRC) for cutters.
Edge types
All cutters available with three types of cutting blades: SEMI-FLUSH for soft and hard wire; FLUSH for very precise cutting of soft wire; FULL-FLUSH for a perfect cutting of soft wire.
Other features
Dual leaf springs made of stainless steel; Lap joint with screw in order to achieve a high level of strength and precision; Nuts made of hardened alloy steel to resist high cutting load; Fine-pitched screw for perfect joint adjustment.
