Product Description
The USB-UART LP Bridge Controller is the latest addition to Cypress’s family of Full-Speed USB Controllers providing a single USB-to-UART channel, with industry’s lowest power consumption in stand-by mode (5 uA).
As well as being an evaluation kit for the CY7C65213 USB-UART LP Bridge Controller and a reference design for USB-to-UART cable applications this low-cost easy-to-use controller and RDK is supported with drivers for Windows, Mac, Linux and Android operating systems.
The full-speed USB-UART low-power bridge controller supports 8-pin UART serial interface and USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF) compliant battery charging detection (BCD) specifications. The controller features the lowest suspend-state current of 5 uA, and is offered in a 5×5, 32-pin QFN package to meet the dimensional requirements of portable devices.

12 Mbps USB 2.0 certified
Comes with integrated USB termination resistors, USB battery charging compliant battery charger detection and supports communication driver class (CDC), personal health care device class (PHDC), and vendor-specific drivers.
Single-channel configurable UART interfaces
Handling data rates of up to 3Mbps with support for CTS, RTS, DTR, DSR flow control as well as parity, overrun, and framing errors.
General-Purpose Input/Output
USB-UART low-power bridge controller supports 8-pin UART serial interface.
