Product Description
The Cypress CY8CKIT-042-BLE kit enables customers to evaluate and develop Bluetooth Low Energy applications using the PSoC 4 BLE and PRoC BLE devices.
The BLE Pioneer Kit supports system-level designs using PSoC Creator. This includes the Bluetooth Low Energy v4.1 specification and several example projects to enable drag-and-drop BLE mixed signal embedded designs.
Also included is a CY5670 - CySmart USB Dongle (BLE Dongle) that pairs with the CySmart master emulation tool, converting your Windows PC into a powerful Bluetooth LE debug environment.
Operating voltage
The kit allows the user to evaluate lower power modes in a wide operating voltage range of 1.7 - 5.5 V.

BLE Pioneer Baseboard preloaded with CY8CKIT-142 PSoC 4 BLE module; CY5671 PRoC BLE Module; CY5670 - CySmart USB Dongle (BLE Dongle); Quick start guide; USB Standard A to Mini-B cable; Four jumper wires (4 inch) and two proximity sensor wires (5 inch); Coin cell (3V CR2032).
Bluetooth qualification
Cypress’s BLE solutions pass Bluetooth SIG qualification process and are now listed on the Bluetooth SIG website as certified solutions. Cypress’s qualification is modular, allowing greater flexibility to customers. A list of Cypress’s Qualified Design IDs (QD ID) and Declaration IDs is provided in the datasheet.
