66MHz Standard Oscillators:

7 Products Found

You can choose from our broad range of standard oscillators to keep track of time, provide a stable clock signal for digital integrated circuits, or stabilise frequencies for radio transmitters and receivers

Virtually every printed circuit board made in recent history has an oscillator of some form on it, and most integrated circuits contain oscillators too. Oscillators are essential components that produce a periodic electronic signal, typically a sine wave or square wave.

Oscillators convert DC signals to periodic AC signals which can be used to set frequency, or for audio applications, or used as a clock signal. All microcontrollers and microprocessors require an oscillator to set the clock signal in order to function. Some devices have them built-in, and some require an external oscillator - or both, having a low accuracy internal oscillator with the option for an external signal to be provided.

How do crystal oscillators work?

Crystal oscillators operate on the principle of inverse piezoelectric effect. When an alternating voltage is applied across the crystal surfaces, it causes the crystal to vibrate at its natural frequency. These vibrations are eventually converted into oscillations.

A crystal oscillator is an electronic oscillator circuit that uses a piezoelectric crystal as a frequency-selective element. The oscillator frequency is often used to keep track of time, as in quartz wristwatches, to provide a stable clock signal for digital integrated circuits, and to stabilize frequencies for radio transmitters and receivers.

Abracon’s ASE Series of SMD crystal oscillators features low height (1.2mm max), tri-state function, and low current consumption with 30mA max for 200MHz. With low RMS jitter (5ps max), it is available for tight stability options. It is suitable for RoHS reflow.
