Product Description

The new Vishay AY2 capacitors incorporate the very latest in ceramic material, capacitor design, and production technologies.
To meet the demands of the industrial market, Vishay has released a completely new series of leaded Y2-rated ceramic safety capacitors that offers unprecedented levels of quality and reliability.

The AY2 range can withstand more than 2,000 temperature cycles without a single failure - twice the AEC standard.
And with their superior robustness, the capacitors provide the highest levels of quality and reliability.

Typical applications

AC line filtering; On-board chargers and battery management of e-cars and PHEVs; high quality industrial applications.

Standards

AEC-Q200 qualified; X1, Y2 according to IEC 60384-14.3; RoHS compliant; climatic category 40/125/21, according to EN 60068-1.

Construction

The capacitors consist of a ceramic disc, both sides of which are silver-plated. Connection leads are made of tin-plated, copper-clad steel having a diameter of 0.6 mm. The capacitors may be supplied with straight leads having a lead spacing of 5mm, 7.5mm and 10.0mm. Encapsulation is made of flammable resistant epoxy resin in accordance with "UL 94 V-0".
