Product Description
Available as an evaluation kit or starter kit the SAM4L Xplained Pro evaluation kit is ideal for evaluation and prototyping with the SAM4L Cortex™-M4 processor-based MCUs.
Seamlessly interfacing software, firmware & hardware Atmel have created a new standard for ARM®-based core and Atmel AVR® Flash MCUs evaluation boards. As an integrated part of the Atmel MCU tool ecosystem the boards work with Atmel Studio 6 integrated development platform (IDP) that includes over 1600 example projects from Atmel Software Framework (ASF), as well as an online store of development tools in Atmel Gallery and a cloud-based development work space in Atmel Spaces.
With a single USB cable connection designers are able to programme & debug devices, stream application data using SPR, UART and I²C or pinout style debugging using the Virtual COM Port. Making use of the onboard Embedded Debugger and without having to resort to external tools.
Coming with 4 extension headers and segmented LCD connector gives great access to a wide range of extension boards which when combined with Atmel Studio 6 and the SAM4L Xplained Pro board gives you all the information you could need (inc. datasheets). The ATSAM4L-XPRO evaluation kit does not include extension boards but they can be purchased individually.
