Product Description

The Atmel® SAM D20 ARM® Cortex®-M0+ based microcontroller (MCU) series sees Atmel setting a new benchmark for flexibility and ease-of-use. The SAM D20 combines the performance and energy efficiency of an ARM Cortex-M0+ based MCU with an optimized architecture and peripheral set giving you a truly differentiated general-purpose microcontroller ideally suited for low-power, cost-sensitive industrial and consumer applications.

Along with a range of features including In-system programmable Flash, eight-channel Event System, programmable interrupt controller, up to 52 programmable I/O pins, 32-bit real-time clock and calendar, up to eight 16-bit Timer/Counters (TC) the SAM D20 series grant you access to a full suite of program and system development tools, including C compilers, macro assemblers, program debugger/simulators, programmers and evaluation kits.

High Performance

SAM D20 series work at 48MHz with single-cycle IO access, supporting a pin toggling frequency up to 24 MHz and an eight-channel event system.

Rich Peripheral Set

All devices include intelligent and flexible peripherals such as Up to six serial communication modules (SERCOM) configurable as UART/USART, SPI or I2C, up to eight 16-bit Timer/Counters and a peripheral touch controller (PTC) that supports up to 256 channels and supports buttons, sliders, wheels, and proximity.

Low Power

Ideal for low power application the SAM D20 comes with software-selectable idle & standby sleep modes as well as sleep walking peripherals.
