Product Overview
The MAX981ESA+ is an ultra low power, open drain, single supply comparator in 8 pin NSOIC package. This micropower device draws less than 4µA supply current over temperature and include an internal 1.182V ±2% voltage reference and programmable hysteresis. It is ideal for 3V or 5V single supply applications, it operates from a single supply (or dual supplies) and each comparator's input voltage ranges from the negative supply rail to within 1.3V of the positive supply. It provides a unique, simple method for adding hysteresis without feedback or complicated equations, simply by using the HYST pin plus two resistors. Comparator's open-drain outputs permit wire-ORed configurations. It is ideal for level translators and bipolar to single ended converters. Typically used at battery powered systems, threshold detectors, window comparators, level translators and oscillator circuits.
