Product Description
ON Semiconductor produces a range of high performance clocking solutions that meet PCIe Gen1/2/3 and Intel QPI specs for reference clock distribution.
The NB3N51034 low phase noise clock generator, along with the NB3N1200K and NB3W1200L clock buffers, have excellent RMS phase jitter values. This offers significant room for engineers designing large clock trees where more clock devices could introduce phase jitter into the system.
The NB3N51034 clock generator is suitable for a wide range of applications including networking, consumer, computing and peripherals, industrial equipment and PCIe Clock Generation Gen I, Gen II and Gen III. Typically they may be found in switches and routers, set top boxes, LCD TVs, servers, desktop computers and automated test equipment.
The spread spectrum option available in some devices helps ‘spread’ EMI and other interference over a larger area. This reduces the amplitude/magnitude of any interference that may arise.
The NB3N1200K and NB3W1200L differential clock buffers are DB1200Z and DB1200ZL compliant and are designed to work in conjunction with a PCIe compliant source clock synthesizer to provide point−to−point clocks to multiple agents.
The NB3V8312C is a high performance, low-skew LVCMOS fanout buffer which can distribute 12 ultra−low jitter clocks from an LVCMOS/LVTTL input up to 250 MHz. It is well suited to networking applications such as telecoms and storage area networks, and may be found in servers, routers and switches.
