maxon motor ESCON Controllers

Small but powerful ESCON servo controllers are ideal for handling both brushed DC & brushless EC motors. Able to run in a variety of featured operating modes ESCON controllers are able to work with a wide range of drive systems.
Operating modes include:
Current controller: Compares actual motor current (torque) with an applied set value. In case of deviation, the motor current is dynamically readjusted.
Speed controller (closed loop): Compares the actual speed signal with an applied set value. In case of deviation, the speed is dynamically readjusted.
Speed controller (open loop): Feeds the motor with a voltage proportional to the applied speed set value.

In either of the speed controller modes the ESCON is able to make use of a ramp function to control the acceleration/deceleration of the motor shaft.

Activity is easily monitored with the analog output voltage and the integrated potentiometer, with set-up made incredibly simple with ESCON Studio interface. This menu guided set-up wizard allows you to control:

The controller itself is incredibly reliable as it is protected against overcurrent, excess temperature, under & overvoltage, against voltage transients, and against short-circuits in the motor cable. Plus it can help protect both load and motor with protected digital inputs and outputs and an adjustable current limitation.
