The new LPC1500 microcontrollers from NXP enable the ability to control two motors simultaneously and make motor tuning easier and faster.

  • Simultaneous control of up to two motors
  • Motor-control applications in consumer (large home appliances), commercial (HVAC/elevator/escalator control), and industrial (pumps/generators used in hydroelectric and oil/gas industries)
  • Digital power supplies, data logging and remote sensing
  • ARM Cortex-M3 processor (version r2p1), running at frequencies of up to 72 MHz, and built-in Nested Vectored Interrupt Controller (NVIC).

Product Description

The new LPC1500 microcontrollers from NXP are optimised for fast, easy, and high-precision control of low-cost motors.
They feature an extensive set of motor control peripherals that simplify design and accelerate time to market, enable the ability to control two motors simultaneously and make motor tuning easier and faster.

The LPC1500 is equipped with an ARM® Cortex™-M3 core and supported by NXP’s popular LPCXpresso IDE platform.
Solutions for the LPC1500 include high-precision motion control for brushless DC (BLDC) and permanent magnet Synchronous motor (PMSM) sensorless motors.

TWR-K64F120M: Kinetis K64 MCU Module

Configurable control subsystem

Up to four 32-bit counter/timers or up to eight 16-bit counter/timers or combinations of 16-bit and 32-bit timers.

Digital peripherals

High-speed GPIO interface with up to 76 General-Purpose I/O (GPIO) pins with configurable pull-up/pull-down resistors, open-drain mode, input inverter, and programmable digital glitch filter.

Memory features

Up to 256 kB on-chip flash programming memory with 256 Byte page write and erase, up to 36 kB SRAM and 4 kB EEPROM.
