Product Description
The NXP Freedom K64F development platform is a simple, yet sophisticated, design featuring a Kinetis K series microcontroller, built on the ARM© Cortex®-M4 core and running at up to 120 MHz.
It is one of our most popular development boards because it is ideal for developing applications that require high memory density, low power and optimised integration, and has a large user base. FRDM-K64F can be used to evaluate the K64, K63 and K24 Kinetis K series devices.
The hardware features a MK64FN1M0VLL12 with 1MB of flash, 256KB RAM, a full-speed USB controller, Ethernet controller, Secure Digital Host controller, and loads of analog and digital peripherals.
The FRDM-K64F hardware is form-factor compatible with the ArduinoTM R3 pin layout, providing a broad range of expansion board options. The on-board interface includes a 3-axis digital accelerometer, magnetometer, tricolor LED, SDHC, Bluetooth Add-on module, 2.4 GHz nRF24L01+ ISM band Add-on module, and Ethernet.
Typical applications
Gaming systems, wearables, smartphone and tablet accessories, meters, smart-grid concentrators, connected security and access control, smart thermostats, Point of Sale (POS) and secure applications, factory automation and portable instrumentation.
