The MC7809BTG is a 1A positive voltage regulator in 3 pin TO-220 package. This is a 9V fixed voltage regulator is monolithic integrated circuit designed for a wide variety of applications including local, on-card regulation. This regulator employs internal current limiting, thermal shutdown and safe-area compensation. With adequate heat sinking it can deliver output currents in excess of 1A.
