Product Overview

The MC9RS08KB2CSC is a 8-bit Microcontroller based a very small and highly efficient RS08 CPU core of version 2 which supports single global interrupt vector with CISC architecture operates at a maximum frequency of 20MHz. The device is composed of standard on-chip modules including 126byte internal RAM, 2kB internal flash, two 8-bit modulo timers, one 4-channel 10-bit A/D converter and an analog comparator. This device also features peripherals like one serial communications interface (SCI) module and one inter-integrated circuit bus module (IIC).

  • Single global interrupt vector
  • Security circuitry to prevent unauthorized access to flash contents
  • Wait mode - CPU shuts down, system clocks continue to run, full voltage regulation
  • Stop mode - CPU shuts down, system clocks are stopped, voltage regulator in standby
  • Wakeup from power-saving modes using RTI, KBI, ADC, ACMP, SCI and LVD
  • Loop-control Pierce oscillator (XOSC)
  • Internal clock source (ICS)
  • Watchdog computer operating properly (COP) reset
  • Low-voltage detection with reset or interrupt
  • Illegal opcode detection with reset
  • Illegal address detection with reset
  • Flash-block protection
  • Single-wire background debug interface
  • Breakpoint capability to allow single breakpoint setting during in-circuit debugging
  • One 2-channel Timer/pulse-width modulator module
  • One real-time clock with optional clock sources
  • up to 8-port Keyboard interrupts
