Product Overview

The MAX6805US29D3+T is a low cost, low power microprocessor (µP) reset circuit with debounced manual reset input in 4 pin SOT-143 package. The device monitors power supplies in 2.85V to 5V µP and digital systems. It increases circuit reliability and reduces cost by eliminating external components and adjustments. This device performs single function that it asserts a reset signal whenever the VCC supply voltage declines below preset threshold or whenever manual reset is asserted. Reset remains asserted for preset timeout period after VCC has risen above the reset threshold or after manual reset is deasserted. The MAX6805 (open-drain) has an active-low RESET output. The MAX6805 is needs be in the correct state for VCC down to 1V. The reset comparator in IC is designed to ignore fast transients on VCC and device is Ideal for space critical applications. It is used in computers, controllers, intelligent instruments, critical µP/µC power monitoring and battery powered equipment.
  • Supply voltage range from 1V to 5.5V at TA = 0°C to 125°C and 1.2V to 5.5V at TA = -40°C to 125°C
  • Operating temperature range from -40°C to 125°C
  • Ultra low operating supply voltage of 0.7Vand low supply current of 4µA
  • Power supply transient immunity
  • Factory trimmed reset threshold of 2.93V
  • Reset active timeout period of 150ms
  • Supply current of 4µA at VCC = 3V and 5µA at VCC = 5V (no load)
  • Active-low RESET output low voltage of 0.4V (ISINK = 3.2mA, VCC >= 4.25V)
  • No external components required
  • Active-low RESET output leakage current of 0.5µA at VCC > VTH, active-low RESET not asserted
