Product Overview

The MAX6705ATKA+T from Maxim Integrated Products is a low voltage, µP supervisor with power fail in/out, manual reset and watchdog timer in 8 pin SOT-23 package. It reduces the complexity and components required to monitor power supply functions in µP systems. It provides four functions such as, a reset output during power-up, power-down and brownout conditions, an independent watchdog output that goes low if the watchdog input has not been toggled within 1.6s, a 0.62V threshold detector for power fail warning and an active-low manual reset input. MAX6705A monitors a single-supply voltage to drive a single reset output and include an independent adjustable power-fail-in/power-fail-out comparator, a manual reset input and a watchdog timer with an independent output. It is used in computers, controllers, intelligent instruments, critical µP power monitoring, white goods, networking and telecommunications applications.
  • Operating voltage range is 1.2V to 5.5V, improves system reliability and accuracy
  • Operating temperature of -40°C to +125°C, active-low WDO deasserts when active-low MR is pulled low
  • Active-low push-pull reset output, 60ppm/°C reset threshold temperature coefficient
  • Precision monitoring of +5V, +3.3V, +3V and +2.5V supply voltages
  • Reset valid to VCC = 1V
  • Immune to short falling VCC transients
  • Low cost, few external components
  • Reset threshold of 3.08V at TA = -40°C to +85°C
  • Reset timeout period of 200ms at TA = -40°C to +85°C
  • Power-fail input with independent output, monitors inputs down to 0.62V
