The TIDA-050000 and TIDA-01480 reference designs simplify and accelerate design for the Xilinx Cost-Optimized portfolio (Spartan-7, Artix-7, Zynq-7000) and Zynq UltraScale+ ZU2CG-ZU3EG MPSoCs, respectively.

The designs are scalable to power this wide range of Xilinx devices and configurable across customer use-cases.

Integrated Power Supply Reference Design for Xilinx Artix®-7 FPGAs

This variant of the TIDA-050000 reference design is modified for the Artix-7 FPGA and uses similar nomenclature for Xilinx power rails. This variant of the reference design for Artix-7 is most similar to Variant 001 in TIDA-01480 for the ZU+ device family. Solution size = 1.008 in2 (650 mm2)

Integrated Power Supply Reference Design for Xilinx Spartan®-7 FPGAs

This TIDA-050000 design variant uses the same components as Variant 006 but has more spare rails to power I/Os of the Spartan-7 device and peripherals. The TPS568215 supports a load current of 8 A. The TPS54418 (4 A) can be substituted in the final design if lower current is required by the FPGA. Solution size = 1.008 in2 (650 mm2)

Integrated Power Supply Reference Design for Xilinx Zynq®-7000 FPGAs

The Zynq-7000 SoC can be the most power-optimized device targeted by the TIDA-050000 reference design. As a result, the high current 8-A TPS568215 is not included in this variant. In applications where up to 10 A is required by the core rail, VCCINT, the TPS56C215 can be assembled on the PCB. Solution size = 0.723 in2 (466 mm2)

Integrated Power Supply Reference Design for Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+

There are five (5) assembly variants of the TIDA-01480 reference design. The variants of this reference design are intended to power the Zynq UltraScale+ family and are named according to the desired optimization of the ZU+ device and whether or not the multi-Gigabit transceivers (MGTs) are used. Variant 002, named Always-On Cost-Optimized (With MGTs), is shown here as a reference. Solution size = 1.614 in2 (1041 mm2), which is reduced to 1.337 in2 (863 mm2) in Variant 001 when the MGTs of the Xilinx device are un-used.
