Product Description

The MKP386 snubber capacitors are ideal for use in the alternative energy market as it is now a halogen free product.

Typical applications for the MKP386M include photovoltaic inverters, wind inverters, motor drives, and frequency converters.

MKP386 snubber capacitors are getting a capacitance range extension in all rated voltages and a maximum permissible temperature upgrade to 105°C, increasing the environmental versatility of the series.

Snubber capacitors are designed to reduce or eliminate voltage and current spikes, thus reducing EMI by clamping voltage and current ringing caused by the switching of power semiconductors, and to reduce switching losses.

The snubber capacitor is mounted directly on the IGBT module, and now on high-power IGBT modules thanks to the new range extension, with building length of 58 mm.
