Product Overview

The L4940V5 is a fixed output, three terminal very low dropout (LDO) linear voltage regulator in 3 pin TO-220 package. This regulator is particularly suitable for battery powered equipments for reducing consumption and prolonging battery life. L4940V5 low dropout regulator features internal current limiting, anti saturation circuit, thermal shut down and safe area protection.
  • Fixed output voltage is 5V
  • Low dropout voltage is 500mV at 1.5A output current
  • Input voltage range from 7V to 17V
  • Output current is 1.5A
  • Very low quiescent current
  • Short circuit protection
  • Reverse polarity protection
  • Operating junction temperature range from -40°C to 150°C
