The Silicon Labs EZRadioPRO Si446x transceiver family offers industry-leading best-in-class RF performance.
This results in extended wireless range and meets the industry's most stringent narrowband regulatory standards while delivering a superior cost-to-benefits solution for designers.

The transceivers achieve this extended range by leveraging best-in-class performance specifications in transmit output power (+20 dBm) sensitivity (-126 dBm) link budget (146 dB) and RX adjacent channel selectivity (58 dB).
The Si446x transceivers also feature a patented antenna diversity algorithm. This has been developed to counteract the effects of multipath and fading effectively doubling the wireless range in these environments.

Power consumption

The Si4460 active mode TX current consumption of 18 mA at +10 dBm and RX current of 10 mA coupled with extremely low standby current and fast wake times ensure extended battery life in the most demanding applications.

Compliance

The devices can meet worldwide regulatory standards: FCC ETSI and ARIB. All devices are designed to be compliant with 802.15.4g and Wmbus smart metering standards. The devices are highly flexible and can be configured via the Wireless Development Suite (WDS) available on the Silicon Labs web site.
