Microchip’s MCP19111 Synchronous Buck DC/DC Controller uses Digitally Enhanced Power Analogue technology to combine the performance of analogue-based power conversion with the flexibility of a digital interface.

It integrates a configurable peak current mode controller and mid-voltage synchronous step-down MOSFET drivers with a fully-functional PIC microcontroller.

This combination enables a digital front end that makes it quick and easy to configure and customise the analogue power conversion to address customer-specific requirements, while at the same time enabling higher-level functions including an I2C communication interface.

This is a new and unique approach to high-efficiency, high-performance analogue power conversion. Combine with Microchip’s new family of high-speed Power MOSFETs to form high-efficiency power conversion solutions.
