Product Overview

The LT1618EDD#PBF is a constant-current/constant-voltage 1.4MHz Step-up DC/DC Converter that combines a traditional voltage feedback loop and an unique current feedback loop. This fixed frequency, current mode switcher operates from a wide input voltage range of 1.6 to 18V and the high switching frequency of 1.4MHz permits the use of tiny, low profile inductors and capacitors. The current sense voltage is set at 50mV and can be adjusted using the IADJ pin. It uses a constant frequency, current mode control scheme to provide excellent line and load regulation. Low ESR (equivalent series resistance) capacitors should be used at the output to minimize the output ripple voltage. Schottky diodes with their low forward voltage drop and fast switching speed, are the ideal choice for LT1618 applications.
