Laird Technologies BL600 Series modules, based on Nordic Semiconductor’s nRF51822 chipset, incorporate all the hardware and firmware needed to support development of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) applications. Packed into a 19 mm x 12.5 mm footprint the BL600 series provides exceptionally low power consumption with outstanding wireless range.

With BL600 Series modules adding a single-mode Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), or Bluetooth Smart, to small, portable, power-conscious devices (including AAA or coin cell powered devices) has never been easier. Driven by Laird’s unique event-driven smartBASIC programming language gives designers their own BLE expert. With integration significantly simplified, initial development, prototyping, and mass production are that much faster.
In addition the BL600 Series carry FCC modular, IC, CE and MIC approvals, making BL600 modules fully qualified as a Bluetooth End Products, meaning designers can integrate the modules in devices without the need for further Bluetooth Qualification.
