Q. Who can apply for a credit account with Farnell element14?
A. Businesses, government organisations & charities can apply for an account. Although we don’t offer credit to individuals, you can still buy from us either at uk.farnell.com or by calling us on 08447 11 11 11.
Q. How long will it take for my account to be opened?
A. We aim to open all accounts as quickly as possible and this is usually completed in 4 working hours. However, to ensure that this can be achieved, please complete the application form fully – if we need additional information from you, we will come back to you, but this may take a little longer. If you require a higher credit limit, we aim to have your account opened within 24 hours. This will be subject to our credit checking procedure and subject to status.
Q. When will I receive my invoices from you?
A. Invoices are raised within 24 hours from the despatch of the goods from our warehouses.
Q. How will I receive my invoices?
A. Our invoices are sent to you either by email as a pdf or by a link to our invoice portal. Invoices can be sent by alternative methods – please contact creditcontrol@farnell.com for more details.
Q. When do I need to pay?
A. Our standard payment terms are 20 days from the end of the month, so if your invoice is dated 1st July, it should be paid by 20th August.
Q. How can I pay?
A. You can pay us by BACS or cheque as well as debit or credit card. If you want to pay by debit or credit card, please call us on 08447 11 11 33
Q. Can I have a higher credit limit?
A. You can request a higher credit limit at any time. Credit limits will be subject to credit status and we may perform a credit check to support your request.
