If you already own a STM32F4Discovery board from STMicroelectronics, then you can use the STM32F4DIS-BB as a base board to expand its functionality, making it easy to access the serial, USB, Ethernet, CAN, SPI, I2C, GPIO, camera, microSD and LCD interfaces.
Together, the platform is a great way to evaluate the Cortex-M4 processor as drivers and software examples are available for download from element14.
It is recommended that you use the Keil MDK-ARM IDE for software development on the STM32F4Discovery. RTOS support includes Micrium’s μC/OS-III and Segger’s embOS. Supported emulators, programmers and debuggers include ST-LINK/V2, STX-RLINK, ULINK2, ULINKPro, J-Link and Flasher ARM.
