SAM4S Xplained Evaluation Kit for Evaluation of AT91SAM4S16C Cortex-M4 Based Microcontroller
The ATSAM4S-XPLD is a SAM4S Xplained evaluation kit which is a hardware platform to evaluate the AT91SAM4S16C microcontroller. The AT91SAM4S16C microcontroller builds on the high performance, 32bit ARM based Cortex-M4 core with operating speed of 120MHz, 1MB of flash and 128KB of SRAM. The kit offers a large range of features that enables the ARM SAM4S16 user to get started using SAM4S peripherals right away and understand how to integrate the SAM4S device in their own design. It is a ideal platform for early evaluation of the capabilities offered by the SAM4S Cortex-M4 processor based microcontroller. The SAM4S Xplained contains four QTouch button sensors, LEDs and a USB port. The Xplained expansion headers provide easy access to analog and digital I/O pins. The board is powered by the USB cable and integrates a JTAG emulator with USB interface for programming and debugging.

Do not power the board without having the jumper or an ampere meter mounted. This can cause the SAM4s to be powered through its I/O pins and cause undefined operation of the device.
